Job summary

Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an experienced Fab Automation Software Engineer to develop and maintain fab automation software systems. This onsite role works with MES, factory automation, and equipment interfaces to support 24x7 production.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering/MIS and 5+ years in software or manufacturing systems, with strong Java and SQL skills. Knowledge of SECS/GEM and RMS/SPC/FDC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development or manufacturing systems experience, preferably in a semiconductor wafer fab environment.
• Strong hands-on Java development experience and solid SQL skills.
• Good understanding of wafer fab MES, factory automation, and manufacturing system architecture.
• Experience with SECS/GEM and equipment integration is preferred.
• Knowledge of RMS, SPC, or FDC is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support manufacturing software systems for semiconductor wafer fabrication.
• Design and develop manufacturing applications using Java, SQL, and Python with Java as a primary development platform.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between MES, factory automation systems, equipment, and manufacturing applications.
• Support fab automation and equipment integration, including SECS/GEM.
• Work with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and IT teams to develop solutions and resolve production issues.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing software and integration issues and perform root cause analysis in a 24x7 production environment.
