Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced F5 Engineer to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. The role covers traffic management, LTM/ASM/APM, and network security infrastructure across multiple data centers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of F5 experience, TS/SCI with poly, and meets DoD 8570 IAT II requirements. Onsite work in VA/MD with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training or work experience.
• 7+ years of F5 experience with LTM, ASM, BIG-IQ and/or APM administration.
• Must have F5 201 certification or obtain within 3 months of hire date.
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Manages configuration on multiple physical and virtual F5 devices across data centers.
• Develops and supports customer technical requirements for F5 deployments.
• Plans, designs, implements and operates F5 products such as LTM, ASM, BIG-IQ and APM.
• Documents issues and procedures clearly; proposes system enhancements for performance and reliability.
• Coordinates equipment orders and lifecycle management for network gear.
• Troubleshoots network security infra, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and related platforms.
