Job summary

ACT1 Federal LLC. is seeking a Senior F-35 Communications Engineer to join the Aviation division in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on tactical datalinks and intra-flight communications IO expertise within the JPO framework, supporting IO requirements and program reviews.

The position requires an Active Secret Clearance, a BA/BS degree, and extensive DoD and C4I experience. Travel is approx. 10% with on-site work at Crystal City facility.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 10 years of systems-to-systems level interface analysis experience in an engineering or technical position.
• Four years in a test and evaluation environment supporting a DoD ACAT-I Acquisition Program.
• Six years involved technical analysis/support of C4I digital datalinks and intra-flight communications (Link-16/VMF).
• Understanding of joint/coalition airborne communications network interfaces and messaging.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Willingness to travel (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Orchestrating interface development, implementation, and sustainment upgrades to F-35 airborne communications capabilities.
• Coordinating F-35 IO implementation positions with U.S. Military Services, Partner Nations, and all FMS cases.
• Validating IO requirements and external IO architecture to satisfy IO requirements for joint/coalition env.
• Managing IO requirements docs and PSCNs with F-35 Prime Contractor staff.
• Addressing IO assessments to ensure IO interface requirements are integrated in IO documents/contract specs.
• Supporting IO verification test planning and execution; providing verification inputs to TEMP.
• Preparing presentations on IO program status, issues, and verification needs for various groups.
• Participating in joint data link governing bodies and government working groups.
