Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited college or university.

• Proven background designing luxury accessories (eyewear, jewelry, hardware or fine fashion).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Rhinoceros and Keyshot.

Responsibilities

• Concept & Sketching: Develop sketches and create fully resolved sketchbooks and renderings.
• Technical Design: Produce detailed drawings, production notes, and exploded views for prototyping.
• Innovation & R&D: Develop proprietary construction details and novel material combinations.
• Prototyping & CAD Review: Direct assessment and revision of prototypes and 3D CAD files.
• Market Strategy: Analyze trends to pitch concepts that drive growth while preserving brand identity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with NA and Italian development teams through release.

Senior Eyewear Designer

We are seeking a highly creative and technical Senior Eyewear Designer to lead the conception and development of next-generation eyewear collections. Operating at the intersection of fashion trend interpretation and precision industrial design, you will turn licensor specifications into fully resolved sketchbooks and manufacturable technical drawings.

In this role, you will collaborate heavily with domestic and international product development teams—bridging North American market trends with European craftsmanship to pioneer innovative materials, hardware, and construction details.

Core Responsibilities

• Concept & Sketching:Develop and prepare sketches of new eyewear concepts based on licensor specifications; create fully resolved sketchbooks and renderings in Adobe Illustrator.


• Technical Design:Generate highly detailed technical drawings, including section drawings, exploded views, and production notes for prototyping.


• Innovation & R&D:Research and develop proprietary construction details, novel material combinations, and advanced production/design techniques.


• Prototyping & CAD Review:Direct the assessment and revision of prototypes and 3D CAD files to ensure design intent translates perfectly to production.


• Market Strategy:Analyze competitive markets and domestic fashion trends to pitch product concepts that drive business growth while maintaining strict brand identity.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with North American and Italian development and line planning teams from initial concept through to manufacturing release.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from an accredited college or university.

• Experience: 5+ years of design experience within a specialty retailer or product distribution environment.


• Industry Focus:Proven background designing luxury accessories (eyewear, jewelry, hardware, or fine fashion accessories).


• Software Stack:Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling (Rhinocerosor similar), and 3D rendering (Keyshot).


• Communication:Exceptional interpersonal and technical documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.


• Travel:Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.


• Specific design experience within the Eyewear Industry.


• Background in a sales distribution business.


• Exposure to Italian cultureand/or Italian language proficiency.
