Job summary

Spectrum Brands, Inc. in Missouri seeks a Senior Machine Operator to set up and run extrusion production equipment for fish food pellets, ensuring safety and quality in a pet food manufacturing environment.

You will monitor parameters, implement HACCP/GMP/FDA requirements, and train operators. Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams, perform cleaning, and support audits and inventories.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce fish pellets per recipe and specs.
• Load and verify raw ingredients based on batch sheets.
• Control and monitor key parameters (temperature zones, moisture, screw speed, pressure).
• Meet daily production targets while minimizing waste.
• Ensure HACCP, GMP, and FDA compliance; maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment (CIP/COP where applicable).
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams; assist with maintenance when needed.
