Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Department Manager for the Extrusion department to drive production efficiency and continuous improvement.

You will lead the extrusion team, coordinate with quality, logistics, and maintenance, and implement strategic plans to optimize materials, machines, maintenance, and manpower. Qualifications

• B.A. / B.S. in relevant field preferred.
• 5+ years relevant manufacturing experience in leadership/operations.
• Demonstrated safety and GMP knowledge.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Extrusion Department to ensure efficient production operations.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for optimized use of materials, machines, maintenance, and manpower.
• Prepare the department budget and manage production cost and product quality.
• Mentor and develop direct reports and extrusion team members with performance management.
