KnitWell Group, a specialty retail operating company, is hiring a Sr Accountant – External Reporting for its Talbots office in Hingham, MA. The role focuses on quarterly external financial statements under US GAAP and liaison with auditors to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 3+ years in financial statement work, and strong Excel skills. CPA preferred; on-site with benefits and a salary range of $75,000–$85,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preparing or auditing financial statements and note disclosures.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual financial reporting process with other departments.
• Prepare, review and tie out supporting schedules for external statements.
• Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports.
• Serve as liaison for external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.
• Assist with implementation and testing of financial reporting software.
• Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist with testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
