Job summary

SIG SAUER Careers seeks a Sr. Chemical Engineer, Explosives Processing, to design, develop, implement, and improve production processes for energetic materials, focusing on primer manufacturing.

This senior role requires hands-on batch processing experience and collaboration with R&D, EHS, and operations. Qualifications include a BS in Chemical Engineering with 7–10 years of experience; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or BS in Chemical Engineering with 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in energetic batch processing and production of energetic materials.
• Familiarity with PSM, OSHA, ATF, DoD, and EPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, monitor, and maintain chemical manufacturing processes for explosives and energetic materials.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP studies, and risk assessments for explosive sensitivities and implement controls.
• Establish and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 and related regs.
