Job summary

NES Fircroft in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Expeditor to manage critical procurement packages from award to final delivery. You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Construction, and Suppliers to identify schedule risks, resolve issues, and drive mitigation actions.

The role includes mentoring junior expeditors and leading supplier follow-ups, with a focus on maintaining on-time delivery and alignment with project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in expediting, procurement, materials management, or project support roles.
• Experience managing complex equipment or supplier packages through manufacturing and delivery.
• Experience on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, manufacturing, EPC, or EPCM projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute expediting activities for equipment, materials, and supplier deliverables supporting capital projects.
• Manage purchase orders and critical packages from award through manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and final delivery.
• Develop and maintain package-level expediting plans aligned with PO requirements and milestones.
• Review supplier schedules and delivery dates to set expediting priorities and actions.
• Conduct supplier follow-ups to monitor engineering, submittals, fabrication, testing, and delivery activities.
• Identify schedule risks, escalate issues, and work with suppliers to establish mitigation plans.
• Support integrated project delivery by coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Procurement.
