Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Major Events Security Manager to oversee executive protection teams and the health, safety, and physical security of all attendees at sponsored or hosted events. The role involves developing comprehensive security plans, leading threat analysis, and coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure safe, compliant events worldwide.

This position requires traveling ahead of events for site surveys, establishing contacts, and coordinating guest safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in security management role.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact with internal customers/leadership and external partners.
• Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating with private security and law enforcement agencies.
• Proven critical thinking under pressure.
• Self-motivated, self-starter with strong influence across stakeholders.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security plans for major events, including risk assessments and emergency response strategies.
• Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel; brief on responsibilities for each event.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and private security firms.
• Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements and stay updated on security technologies.
• Serve as primary contact for security incidents; lead resolution with minimal disruption to events.
• Communicate security information effectively to key stakeholders.
• Develop partnerships with business stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.
• Oversee security projects and assessments for senior management events.
• Manage event security expenses in line with budget.
