Job summary

Bank of America seeks a Major Events Security Manager to oversee executive protection and security for global events. This role directs security plans, staffing, and threat analysis, coordinating with planners, law enforcement, and venue partners to safeguard senior management, employees, clients, and attendees.

The position requires travel (domestic and international), extended hours during events, and experienced leadership of security teams across diverse venues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in security management role.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external partners.
• Experience coordinating with private security and law enforcement agencies.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and think critically.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to influence stakeholders.
• Adaptable, durable, and able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong MS Office and computer skills.
• Willingness to respond to incidents outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Security Planning: develop and implement comprehensive security plans for events.
• Team Management: train and supervise security personnel for each event.
• Coordination with External Agencies: liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Compliance and Best Practices: ensure regulatory compliance and up-to-date security procedures.
• Incident Management: lead security incident resolutions with minimal disruption.
• Communicates event security information to key stakeholders securely.
• Develops security plans ensuring guest safety and proper vetting.
• Builds partnerships with stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.
• Executes projects and assessments for senior management security.
• Manages event security expenses in line with budget.
