Job summary

Great American Insurance Group, Orange, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Production Underwriter for Excess & Umbrella lines. This role focuses on underwriting new and renewal Excess Liability and Lead Umbrella business, handling risk analysis, pricing, and coverage terms.

You will develop strong broker relationships, market products, and manage a profitable portfolio while maintaining underwriting discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Casualty underwriting experience: senior production underwriter or related roles.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Excess Liability and Lead Umbrella business.
• Analyze risk exposures, determine pricing and coverage terms, and make underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers to generate profitable business.
• Market products through broker meetings, presentations, and industry events.
• Manage and grow a profitable book of business with underwriting discipline.
• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure underwriting documentation and compliance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver exceptional customer service.
