Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required.
• Professional designation such as CPCU, ACII or similar preferred.
• 7-10 years underwriting experience.
• Established relationships with brokers/markets/companies.
• Successful track record in developing and maintaining reinsurance placements.

Responsibilities

• Execute the business plan for development, management and expansion of a portfolio of accounts.
• Prioritize and evaluate submissions to identify profitable opportunities.
• Review and analyze underwriting submissions, slips and contracts.
• Price and analyze coverage, structure and exposures.
• Set terms and conditions following company strategy to quote risks.
• Negotiate with brokers and clients for new and renewal business.
• Lead underwriters to meet profitability goals and adhere to guidelines.
