Job summary

Tucson Unified School District seeks a finance and program administrator to oversee the financial, budgetary, payroll, and grant writing functions for designated Exceptional Education programs. Qualifications

• Master's degree or bachelor's degree AND four years of experience administering or coordinating programs, or eight years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.
• Three (3) years Supervisory Experience
• Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program is required
• Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
• Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees financial, budgeting, payroll, grant writing, and position control functions.
• Monitors and manages program budgets, staffing allocations, grant expenditures, and fiscal resources to ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
• Collaborates with administrators and staff to develop budgets, analyze data, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
• Supervises assigned staff and provides training on financial and personnel procedures.
• Serves as liaison between departments to facilitate financial, staffing, payroll, purchasing, and grant-related processes.
