Job summary

Powell Gardens Colonial Farms is seeking an Events and Marketing Manager to lead planning, development, promotion, and execution of public and educational events year-round. You will oversee a diverse calendar of experiences connecting guests to agriculture, nature, food, and the farm, including seasonal festivals, U-Pick, and workshops.

As a guest-focused, collaborative leader, you will coordinate with Retail, Agriculture, Education, and Finance to align priorities, manage budgets, and grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, recreation, education, communications, marketing, agriculture, or related field.
• 3+ years in event management, programming, hospitality, agritourism, or related field.
• Experience planning public events, festivals, programs, or similar experiences.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multiple projects.
• Experience with budgets, revenue generation, and P&L management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of all public and signature events at Powell Gardens Colonial Farms.
• Develop an annual event calendar aligning attendance, revenue, and guest engagement.
• Coordinate event logistics, staffing, vendors, activities, and site readiness.
• Oversee field trips, education programs, and partnerships with schools and community groups.
• Lead marketing strategy across retail, events, agritourism, and education to grow attendance and revenue.
