Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Development Office seeks an Associate Director to lead strategy, planning, and execution of 100+ annual events and help raise over $20M annually to support patient care, research, and education in Boston and worldwide.

Hybrid work at our 399 Revolution Drive location offers collaboration with a mission-driven donor team. The role balances strategic input with hands-on event management and leadership across the events group.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with videoconferencing platforms (Zoom/Teams).
• Familiarity with donor databases like Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of assigned events, with ownership of timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate and oversee contracts, and ensure compliance with budget and service standards.
• Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to align event strategy with broader organizational goals.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with development communications, fundraising, IS, and finance teams to maximize event success.
• Oversee post-event evaluation and reporting, identifying insights and improvements to inform future event planning.
