This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on vehicle-level integration across high-voltage batteries, electric propulsion, controls, charging, thermal management, hydraulics, low-voltage systems, diagnostics, and vehicle communications. The role will also support diesel-to-electric conversion programs for commercial and heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead EV system integration programs from requirements and architecture through commissioning, validation, production release, and field deployment.
  • Develop vehicle-level requirements, system architectures, engineering specifications, bills of materials, and validation plans.
  • Assess diesel-powered commercial vehicles and industrial equipment for conversion to electric propulsion.
  • Integrate batteries, BMS, motors, inverters, chargers, DC-DC converters, vehicle control units, cooling systems, and charging interfaces.
  • Design and review high-voltage and low-voltage electrical architectures, schematics, wiring, grounding, fusing, contactors, and protection systems.
  • Integrate CAN-based vehicle communications, including SAE J1939, diagnostics, and fault-handling strategies.
  • Develop and calibrate controls for propulsion, regenerative braking, charging, thermal management, hydraulics, and auxiliary systems.
  • Perform commissioning activities, functional testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, change control, test records, and technical reports.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, procurement, software, service, customers, and suppliers.
  • Support design reviews, customer acceptance testing, field troubleshooting, and regulatory or certification activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, commercial vehicles, industrial machinery, automotive systems, or vehicle integration.
  • Demonstrated experience leading vehicle or equipment integration projects through commissioning, validation, and production release.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of high-voltage batteries, BMS, motors, inverters, chargers, DC-DC converters, power distribution, contactors, and high-voltage interlocks.
  • Experience developing or reviewing high- and low-voltage schematics, wiring diagrams, interfaces, and electrical protection strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of CAN communications, SAE J1939, diagnostics, data logging, and vehicle-network troubleshooting.
  • Experience integrating vehicle control units across propulsion, charging, thermal, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and validation testing skills.
