Job summary

Energetiq Technology, based in Wilmington, MA, is seeking an EUV Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence for the EQ-10 line. You will ensure manufacturability, support transfers, perform FAT, and manage change control across product lines.

The role requires collaboration with R&D, QA, and Sales to resolve issues, lead equipment calibration, and supervise process improvements. Travel to local suppliers is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Physics, Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years in a low-volume, high-technical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with clean rooms, analog/digital electronics, controls, high power/voltage, and vacuum systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Self-starter with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Establish procedures and work instructions which establish defined units of work and test.
  • Participate in the build, test, and preparation of units for shipment including factory acceptance testing.
  • Solve assembly and build problems.
  • Be an active contributing member of the EUV Technical team.
  • Work with R&D team on New Product Development, testing and evaluation.
  • Assist the Technical Sales Team when required to ensure all EQ-10 service inquiries are addressed within the same business day.
  • Provide initial troubleshooting steps independently or with the support of the Engineering and Product Management Team
  • Work with Planning team to establish standing level of Service Inventory in support of EQ10 repairs.
  • Work with Technical Sales to anticipate problems, identify and communicate contingency plans throughout troubleshooting and repair process.
  • Work with Quality, Engineering, Product Management and Customer Service to create detailed failure analysis reports and corrective action reports.
  • Work with Service to track and document failures in a central network location. Use collected information to create troubleshooting guide for diagnosing failures.
  • Maintain the calibration and preventative maintenance schedules of factory equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in and lead manufacturing engineering projects related to new product introductions, yield improvement, database maintenance, test process development as required by the organization.
  • Final inspection of system with attention to detail including system completion and cleanliness
  • Travel to key supplier sites to facilitate subsystem production transfers.

PositionSummary:

The EUV Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence and supporting all manufacturing activities associated with the EQ-10 product line. This role focuses on ensuring complete and accurate design documentation and evaluating new designs for manufacturability to enable efficient, high-quality production, and identifying assembly/process improvements to reduce production costs, increase throughput, and enhance safety.

Responsibilities include supporting the transfer of new products into manufacturing, participating in builds and factory acceptance testing (FAT), and managing change control across product lines, including communication through both internal and external channels.

The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, develop failure analysis and corrective action reports, and create clear troubleshooting guides. Additionally, the role maintains calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for factory equipment and facilities to ensure consistent manufacturing readiness and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in a low volume, high technical content manufacturing environment preferably with clean rooms, analog and digital electronics, controls, high power/voltage, and vacuum systems.
  • Skilled in basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MRP and databases
  • Must be a self-starter with a genuine interest in learning as much as possible about all areas of Extreme Ultraviolet light.
  • Ability to participate and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong presentation, analytical and communication skills complimented by a solutions-oriented track record.
  • Ability to travel without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with lasers, optics, photonics, and/or EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) devices.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), 8D problem-solving methodology, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience working in a semiconductor capital equipment or fabrication (fab) environment is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:

The role requires comfort with basic hand and power tools, the ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, and work in cleanroom environments including gowning up in cleanroom attire. Employees must be able to examine assemblies using microscopes and occasionally lift or move items up to 50 pounds.

The compensation salary range for this role is $125,000 to $146,500. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
