Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a seasoned ETL Engineer to collaborate with our team and clients on enterprise-grade data pipelines in Bloomington, IL. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with a passion for data and problem solving.

You will work within an Agile lifecycle, assess ETL jobs, create reusable pipelines, and support BI and data science end users. A government public trust is preferred and Salesforce/Mulesoft experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce and Mulesoft.
• Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government.
• 2–4 years industry experience coding commercial software.
• 2–4 years direct Data Engineering experience with listed tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess and understand ETL jobs and workflows.
• Create reusable data pipelines from source to target systems.
• Test, validate, and deploy ETL pipelines.
• Support reporting, BI, and data science end users through ETL and ELT operations.
• Work with data architects to design schemas for RDBMS, warehouse, and data lake systems.
