We are currently seeking a Senior ETL Developer - Remote to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

Job Overview

• Perform data analysis, collect business requirements, and identify business rules.
• Analyze, develop, and support Data Integration, EDW, and Data Management using DataStage, Teradata, SQL, Autosys, Oracle, etc.
• Collaborate with data modeling team to define data integration logic.
• Create data mappings to fulfill requirements.
• Build and test new ETL programs to meet service requests.
• Automate ETL processes and pipelines using scripting and Autosys.
• Participate in unit testing, assist QA in integration testing, and support UAT.
• Participate in code deployment and coordinate with infrastructure teams during go-live and post-production support.
• Estimate time and resources needed for service requests.
• Participate in technology governance groups to define policies and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers on best practices and technology stacks.
• Debug data quality issues by analyzing upstream sources and guide resolutions.
• Work closely with DBAs to address performance bottlenecks.

Skills

• Recent experience in a lead developer capacity in ETL/Data Engineering.
• 8+ years in data integration (ETL), with 5+ years using DataStage.
• 5+ years in RDBMS/Data Warehousing, preferably Teradata.
• Expertise in Linux and Python scripting for automation.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries.
• Understanding of logical and physical data models; working experience is a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain data integration/ETL specifications.

Desired Skills

• Certifications in ETL and Data Warehouse platforms.
• Domain experience in Healthcare.
• Data profiling and automated data quality solutions.
