Job summary

Simple Solutions is seeking a Senior Ethernet Network Engineer to deploy, validate, and operate large-scale Ethernet fabrics for AI and HPC data centers. You will join a 24x7 support model and work closely with engineering, customers, and operations teams to deliver reliable GPU compute deployments.

The role emphasizes deep data center networking expertise, Linux administration, and automation. Remote US-based, with coordination across remote teams and on-site labs as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Ethernet switching and TCP/IP networking.
• Expert in leaf-spine/CLOS data-center architectures.
• 4+ years with BGP, EVPN, VXLAN.
• 3+ years Linux systems administration.
• 2+ years Python and Ansible automation.
• Experience with ZTP, PXE, DHCP provisioning.
• Experience in professional services or technical support.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform cluster bring-up using approved deployment methodologies and automation workflows.
• Design and validate large-scale Ethernet fabrics (CLOS, leaf-spine).
• Develop IP addressing plans and validate topology and documentation.
• Build, provision, test, and validate switch configurations in lab and production.
• Configure and troubleshoot inter-node networking, including RoCE environments.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot network hardware, cabling, and configuration issues.
• Coordinate remediation with data center technicians and remote teams.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting findings, and deployment outcomes.
• Create deployment records, configuration artifacts, validation reports, and handoff docs.
• Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and technical updates to stakeholders.
