Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking an experienced estimator to bid complex window and curtainwall systems. You will provide timely cost estimates, interpret architectural drawings, and coordinate with purchasing, engineering, and sales to ensure accurate pricing.

The role requires five years of estimating experience, strong communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD and ERP systems. Office-based with occasional site visits and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of estimating experience, including bidding complex projects.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or coordinating others is preferred.
• Ability to interpret specifications and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Bid complex window and curtainwall systems with pricing takeoffs.
• Coordinate and schedule quote requests across estimating team and ensure timely quotes.
• Mentor others in the department as they gain bidding experience.
• Support Estimating Manager with engineering hours, freight, and labor considerations.
• Interpret specifications and takeoff information from drawings and communicate with customers.
