SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator – Underground Utilities in California to lead estimating and bid preparation for major heavy civil infrastructure projects. The role focuses on underground wet utilities including water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and large-diameter pipelines, with hands-on bid activity.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in underground utility estimating and a strong grasp of construction means, methods, and risk assessment.

Qualificações

• 10+ years in heavy civil estimating, preconstruction, or operations.
• 5+ years in underground utility estimating (water, sewer, storm).
• Experience bidding major heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor's degree in CM/CE preferred.
• Knowledge of wet utilities, trenching, shoring, and restoration.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed estimates for underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for water, sewer, storm drain and related infra.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports, addenda, historical costs.
• Develop crew compositions, production rates, and methods.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing.
• Lead estimate reviews with senior management.
• Mentor and coordinate estimating/takeoff engineers.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines simultaneously.
