Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Manager of Estimating to lead cost estimation for tenant fit-out scopes from concept through GMP. You will build and maintain cost databases, collaborate with Pre-Construction, Design and Procurement to validate budgets, and guide change-order cost analysis throughout construction.

You will present estimates to leadership and customers, while mentoring a team of estimators and benchmarking costs across projects to uncover savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of estimating experience, ideally within data center or mission-critical construction.
• Strong understanding of cost drivers across electrical, mechanical, and structural fit-out scopes.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff).
• People management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating for tenant fit-out scopes from conceptual through final GMP.
• Develop and maintain cost databases and unit pricing for recurring TFO scopes, such as rack installations, PDUs, structured cabling, and whips.
• Partner with Pre-Construction, Design, and Procurement to develop and validate project budgets.
• Manage change order review and cost impact analysis during construction.
• Present cost estimates and budget summaries to leadership and, where appropriate, to customers.
• Manage and mentor a team of estimators.
