Job summary

Designing Earth Contracting is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to lead bid development and drive project execution from bid through completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, project management, field operations, and client liaison, with a Bachelor’s in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Alternatively, at least five years of construction experience as a Quality Control Manager, foreman, or superintendent, or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Trimble Business Center, and Viewpoint.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of safety awareness (OSHA, MMUTCD).
• Must possess a valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and manage bid preparation, including reviewing documents and soliciting quotes.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure competitive bids.
• Perform site visits and pre-bid meetings for accurate assessments.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using Trimble Business Center and Viewpoint.
• Lead transitions from bid to project execution and handoff to field team.
• Develop and communicate project schedules with the General Superintendent and Project Foreman.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and oversee subcontractors to maintain timelines and budgets.
• Track project costs and prepare change orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure all project documentation and billing are accurate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and leading the planning and execution of diverse constructions projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, project management, field operations and ensuring successful project execution from bid to project completion.

Responsibilities

• EstimatingManage all aspects of bid preparation, including but not limited to: reviewing documents, soliciting vendor/sub-contractor quotes, preparing cost estimates and submitting bid proposals
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to ensure competitive and accurate bids
• Perform site visits and pre-bid meetings for accurate project assessments
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using Trimble Business Center and Viewpoint
• Lead the transitions from project award to execution, ensuring seamless handoff to foreman and project team
