Job summary

Oliver / Hatcher Construction in Novi, MI seeks a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction to lead conceptual and detailed estimating for commercial projects, coordinating with operations, architects, owners and trade partners from early design through buyout.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in Construction Management, 5–10 years in industrial/commercial construction, multi-trade knowledge, and proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Procore, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5–10 years in industrial/commercial construction.
• Experience in local Metro Detroit area preferred.
• Multi-trade knowledge across steel, concrete, masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed estimating efforts for commercial projects.
• Prepare budget estimates, detailed bid estimates, and bid packages.
• Read drawings and specifications across trades and prepare RFIs as needed.
