Job summary

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of estimating and cost control experience.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management or related field.
• Ability to lead or contribute on multiple projects concurrently.
• Familiar with On Screen Take-off, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of local subcontractor market is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented, technically sound with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Lead or perform portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects.
• Supervise and train other estimators in your area of expertise.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotes and evaluate them for scope and qualifications.
• Lead meetings with subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategy.
• Review total estimate for accuracy and completeness prior to quotation.
• Monitor comparison of estimated costs to actual costs.
• Promote continuous improvement in estimating methods.
• Examine construction sites and observe challenging conditions.
