Job summary

Harris is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare portions of contract proposal estimates across multiple disciplines, focusing on mechanical piping and related systems. The role requires independent estimation of plan/spec, design assist, or design-build projects of varying sizes, with emphasis on cost control and value engineering.

The position involves developing proposals, reviewing drawings, pricing subcontractor quotations, and delivering accurate project cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or 5-7 years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, engineering, or trade experience related to mechanical constructions.
• Advanced knowledge of Construction Project Management.
• Knowledge of SMACNA and MCAA guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office - Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposal and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed.
• Analyze plans to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
