CDM Smith in Virginia (Richmond) is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates and proposals, and to manage bid day activities.

You will analyze quotations, evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, enter takeoffs, develop subcontractor scopes, and support the broader corporate estimating function. Domestic/international travel may be required, up to 40%.

• Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Reads and comprehends drawings and specifications to identify missing elements during design development.
• Ability to estimate multiple types of projects/contracts and meet strict deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day and evaluates bids of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develops subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews them for completeness.
• Manages bid day and related close-out activities.
• Assists in coordinating overall corporate estimating functions.
