Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Senior Estimator to join the Estimating department. The in-office role will analyze project designs, prepare cost estimates, and drive profitability while supporting the project management group.

You will work closely with the estimating team and partners to develop detailed budgets and schedules. Qualified candidates will have extensive construction estimating experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks, and strong communication.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Eng., Construction Mgmt, Architecture, or equivalent.
Education/experience in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimates at all design stages.
Mentor estimators with less experience.
Collaborate with project teams and partners to ensure client success.
Develop Preconstruction Status Reports with cost indicators and cash flow projections.
Work with subcontractors and vendors to validate budgets.
Interpret drawings and quantify materials for construction.
On-screen take-off of material quantities.
Publish estimate clarifications and summarize quantities.
