Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience across bid and negotiated work
• BS/BA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or equivalent
• Knowledge of construction materials, means and methods
• General knowledge of scheduling and logistics
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation
• Ability to lead a team and work in a collaborative delivery environment

Responsibilities

• Completes quantity and cost take-offs
• Prepares detailed deliverables with a knowledgeable stance
• Develops bid lists and invites subs to bid
• Attends design meetings with owner and architect
• Identifies cost savings/value engineering opportunities
• Reads RFPs and contracts to identify scope and risk
• Reviews proposals from subs/vendors and coordinates with team
• Enhances relationships with key vendors and suppliers
• Creates detailed indirect and direct general condition estimates
