Job summary

United Infrastructure Group is seeking a Senior Estimator with at least seven years of heavy-civil construction experience to lead transportation infrastructure estimates across North Carolina.

The role involves managing pursuits from initial review through bid submission and handoff, with emphasis on heavy-highway and bridge projects, crew-based cost development, risk evaluation and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively responsible heavy-civil construction experience.
• Experience estimating heavy-highway, bridge or transportation projects.
• Experience with Bid2Win, HCSS HeavyBid or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-civil means and methods, equipment, labor productivity and sequencing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and electronic quantity-takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete estimates from pursuit review through final bid submission.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, contracts and other bid documents to identify scope gaps and risk.
• Manage quantity takeoffs; develop crew-based labor, equipment, material and production costs.
• Establish bid items and estimate breakdown structures using Bid2Win.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, phasing and major means-and-methods assumptions.
• Coordinate with operations to confirm crews, production rates, equipment and sequencing.
