Qualifications

Experience with TxDOT Type projects.
Responsibilities
Assist with quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of construction projects.
Consult with vendors and construction personnel to discuss estimates.
Analyze plan documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Calculate a final figure for the estimated cost and present a bid price.
Skills
Proficiency with HCSS estimating software
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft programs
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
4 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
