Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. in Raleigh seeks a Senior Estimator to lead heavy civil highway and bridge bids from takeoff through bid day. You will own estimates, develop bid strategy, and manage subcontractor quotes for NCDOT projects.

The role requires 7+ years in heavy civil estimating, strong pricing discipline, and the ability to mentor junior estimators. Relocation to the Raleigh area is welcome for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of heavy civil estimating with lead estimator experience on DOT bids.
• Experience on highway, bridge, earthwork, paving and drainage estimates.
• Strong takeoff and production-based pricing skills.
• Contractor-side estimating experience preferred over design-side.
• Knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid is a plus; DOT bid experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates on heavy civil highway and bridge bids from takeoff through bid day.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
• Build crew, equipment and production-based cost estimates.
• Solicit, level and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

• Mentor junior estimators and keep the estimating database current.

A large, well established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Senior Estimator to lead bids on highway and bridge work in the Raleigh area. This is a strong opportunity for a Senior or Lead Estimator with DOT heavy civil bid experience who wants a stable employer with a deep backlog and a real voice on bid day. You'll own estimates from takeoff through bid day on highway, bridge and infrastructure projects, much of it NCDOT work. Triangle locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
