seeks a Senior Estimator for heavy civil construction in Herndon, VA. You will lead the estimating process for earthwork, grading, site development, and underground utilities, managing the full bid lifecycle from takeoffs to proposals. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of construction means and methods, and proficiency with HeavyBid, PlanSwift, AGTEK, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Experience estimating mass earthwork, site development, and underground utilities.
• Ability to build a project estimate from conceptual stage through final bid.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor estimators through takeoffs to final proposal submission.
• Lead and prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs from plans and specs.
• Develop complete bid packages from start to finish.
• Coordinate sequencing and construction means with operations.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.
• Prepare estimate summaries and proposal documents.
• Support turnover to project management post-award.
