Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding for commercial and government projects, including federal and DoD work in Boston or Milford, MA.

You will develop cost estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare bids, and forecast budgets and schedules to help win projects and control costs throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial and government projects.
• Strong takeoff, estimating, budgeting, and cost forecasting skills.
• Knowledge of federal bidding, government contracts, and DoD projects preferred.
• Experience with GMPs, preconstruction, scheduling, and budget development.
• Ability to develop scopes of work, submittals, and contract-based pricing.
• Proficient with Excel and estimating software such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and government projects.
• Develop bid packages, proposals, scopes, assumptions, and pricing strategies.
• Analyze plans and specifications to identify risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Create and maintain budgets, GMPs, forecasts, and estimating models.
• Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors on pricing, schedules, and preconstruction activities.
• Prepare federal bid documents and ensure contract compliance.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to support accurate estimating.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information.
• Support bid clarifications, negotiations, and estimate reconciliation.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding activities for commercial and government projects, including federal and Department of Defense work. The Estimator will develop accurate cost estimates, perform material and labor take-offs, prepare bids and proposals, and support budget and schedule forecasting to help win projects and control project costs throughout the lifecycle.
