Job summary

Core & Main seeks a Senior Estimator to lead complex takeoffs for critical infrastructure projects and provide technical guidance to the estimating team. You will collaborate with sales and the Pre-Bid group to shape competitive bid strategies and ensure accurate scope alignment.

You will mentor Estimator I and II personnel, oversee takeoff accuracy, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve material questions and optimize lead times.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in construction or critical infrastructure.
• Strong track record of performing complex takeoffs.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantity takeoffs for complex and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Interpret detailed plans, specifications, notes, and engineering drawings with a high level of accuracy.
• Identify specialty materials and evaluate material options according to project specifications.
• Reviews drawings and design concepts to provide material takeoff and proposes cost-saving alternatives.
• Co-ordinates with contractors, engineers, and vendors to resolve material questions and ensure scope alignment.
