Erickson-Hall Construction Co. in Escondido, CA, is seeking a Senior Estimator to advance our bid capabilities and project insights. You will analyze data, review drawings, and coordinate with field operations to produce competitive estimates.

The role requires at least 5 years of commercial or public works estimating experience, strong communication, and solid computer skills. You will mentor staff, lead design-build preconstruction, and help grow our regional bid opportunities.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years Commercial and/or Public Works estimating experience.
• Knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and compile estimate data impacting labor, materials, equipment, location, and other factors to ensure high-quality estimates.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations.
• Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase bid competitiveness.
• Review take-off quantities for accuracy of data in estimates.
• Utilize cost history as a check to complete estimates.
• Present estimates and participate in bid reviews with senior management.
• Communicate estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings.
• Develop and maintain business relationships to increase regional bid opportunities.
• Mentor estimating staff to meet Erickson-Hall Construction Co. standards.
• Participate in design-build preconstruction to ensure quality and schedules.
• Lead means and method discussions to drive innovative ideas in estimates.

As a Senior Estimator at Erickson-Hall Construction Co. you will grow your skills, knowledge, and learn best practices from an industry innovator. Duties:

• Analyze and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors to ensure high quality and timely estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to include in the final project estimate.
• Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase the competitiveness of the bid.
• Review take-off quantities to ensure the accuracy of data used in estimates.
• Utilize existing cost history as a check to complete estimate.
• Apply mathematical calculations requiring advanced analytical processes to ensure logically estimated costs are accurate.
• Present estimate and participate in bid reviews with senior project management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with owners, subcontractors, public and private entities to ensure competitiveness.
• Communicate estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of the scope of the job and critical means and methods of construction.
• Develop and maintain business relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market.
• Mentor estimating staff to ensure individual development and Erickson-Hall Construction Co. standards are met.
• Participate in and/or lead Design-build preconstruction services to ensure high quality, competitive estimates, and schedules.
• Participate in and/or lead means and method discussions, being the catalyst to drive creative thinking and innovative ideas that distinguish a successful estimate.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years Commercial and/or Public Works experience estimating construction projects of increasing complexity required.
• Knowledgeable about current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Must have good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills a must.
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving history is required
