Job summary

Allegiance Group, a well-established commercial General Contractor in Duluth, GA, seeks a Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team. You will lead estimates from initial concept through final bid and collaborate with PMs, superintendents, design teams, and subcontractors on diverse commercial projects.

The role emphasizes accurate cost breakdowns, value engineering, and presenting proposals to senior management.

Qualifications

A well-established commercial General Contractor based in Duluth, GA is looking to add an experienced Senior Estimator to its preconstruction team.

This is a great opportunity for an Estimator ready to take the next step in their career, or an experienced Senior Estimator looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial projects.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors and design teams, taking ownership of estimates from initial concept through to final bid.

The company has a strong track record across the Southeast, with projects including light industrial, big-box retail, medical and office construction.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead estimates from initial concept through to final bid
• Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings, specifications and contracts
• Develop detailed scopes, budgets and cost breakdowns
• Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing and bids
• Identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with PMs, Superintendents and design teams during preconstruction
• Prepare competitive proposals and present estimates to senior management
• Support risk assessment, contract review and project planning
• Maintain accurate historical cost and market data
• Mentor and support junior estimators

What they're looking for:

• General Contractor experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and costs
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as On-Screen Takeoff, iSqFt, Sage, Bluebeam or similar
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
• A track record of producing accurate and competitive estimates
• Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
