Ashton North LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department. You will oversee, approve and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects, guiding the team to win work and execute on projects.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and bidding expertise, with proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and related estimating tools. You will mentor junior estimators and drive process improvements within a dynamic civil construction

Competenze

• 5+ years of civil estimating experience.
• Proven track record estimating civil projects (excavation, paving, grading).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Senior Civil Estimator - Nashville, TN

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software is preferred including Excel, Bluebeam (+ HeavyBid,, Bid-To-Win, AGTEK -preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication, client/business development and negotiation abilities.
• Sense of Urgency on submitting complete bids (on time) is absolutely essential.
