Job description

Numbers tell stories. We need someone who can read them before they're built.

At Level 3 Construction, we're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator who knows the difference between a project that’s worth pursuing and one that’s destined to become an expensive lesson.

If you get excited about turning plans into pricing, enjoy influencing strategy instead of simply producing estimates, and can confidently navigate multifamily and hospitality construction projects, keep reading.

This isn’t a role where you’ll disappear into a spreadsheet and emerge six months later. You’ll have a voice, influence major business decisions, and help shape the future growth of a company that’s building some impressive projects throughout Southern California.

What You’ll Be Estimating:

You’ll lead the estimating process on projects ranging from:

  • $2M-$5M Renovations & Remodels
  • $5M-$30M+ Ground-Up Developments

Typical sweet spot: $15M-$20M projects

From multifamily developments to hospitality projects, you’ll analyze costs, evaluate risk, guide bid strategy, and help determine which opportunities deserve our attention and how aggressively we pursue them.

What Makes You a Fit:

You likely have experience with:

  • Multifamily construction
  • Hospitality / Hotel construction
  • Tenant Improvements (TI)
  • Full-cycle estimating, budgeting, and pricing strategy

You’ll work with a blend of industry-standard platforms and innovative internal technology, including:

  • BlueBeam
  • Procore
  • Building Connected
  • Microsoft Office
  • Proprietary AI-powered estimating and analytics software

We’re big believers that construction and technology can coexist peacefully.

If AI, automation, and new software excite your curiosity rather than raise your blood pressure, you’ll fit right in.

What Doesn’t Fit:

This role is not designed for candidates whose experience is solely on the subcontractor side.

We’re looking for professionals who have estimated directly for a General Contractor and understand the complexities of large-scale developments, underground parking structures, multifamily communities, hospitality projects, and the decision-making that happens before a shovel hits the dirt.

Experience We’re Looking For:
  • 5-10+ years of highly relevant multifamily or hospitality GC experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial pricing, cost modeling, and risk assessment
  • Ability to independently own estimates from concept through submission
  • Adaptable, analytical, and comfortable learning new technology

Experience matters. Adaptability matters just as much.

Why People Join Level 3 Construction and Stay Here:

We’re serious about construction, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

You’ll find:

  • Monday-Friday schedule (generally 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, occasional longer days during peak bid periods)
  • You’ll spend most of your time collaborating in the office, with occasional site visits when project conditions or subcontractor meetings call for it.
  • A growing company where your ideas matter
  • A culture where you’re known by your name, not your employee number
  • As the company continues to grow, this role offers significant opportunity for influence, visibility, and long-term career advancement.
