Job summary

Core & Main LP is seeking an Inside Sales Representative/Estimator to support critical infrastructure projects, collaborating with engineers, designers, and customers. You will help prepare bids, analyze plans and specifications, and provide timely consultation to move opportunities toward closure.

The role emphasizes accuracy, stakeholder communication, and the ability to work across teams to ensure winning quotes and on‑time delivery for water infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of bid preparation or related experience.
• Familiarity with estimation software, such as Planswift.
• Understanding of waterworks products and infrastructure.
• At least 2 years’ experience as Inside Sales Representative or as Estimator in waterworks distribution.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales and bidding process as the essential first step.
• Collaborate with engineers, design plans and specifications, and partner with customers for timely insights.
• Set the pace for project progress and help bring projects to completion.
• Provide consultation and follow-through through the bid and quote lifecycle.

Position Overview

You are driven, detail‑oriented and thrive in a flexible environment where you can use your estimating skills to support critical infrastructure projects. In this role you will be an essential first step in the sales and bidding process, working closely with engineers, design plans and specifications, and partnering with customers to provide timely insight and consultation. You will set the pace for the rest of the project and help bring projects to completion.

Qualifications

• 2‑4 years of bid preparation or related experience
• Familiarity with estimation software, such as Planswift
• Understanding of waterworks products and infrastructure
• At least 2 years’ experience in the position of Inside Sales Representative or higher within Core &Main or at least 2 years’ experience as Estimator at another Waterworks industry distributor
