Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead bid opportunities and develop accurate estimates for commercial, industrial, and non-residential projects.

The role emphasizes takingoffs, labor productivity, vendor relations, and collaborating with the estimating team. Strong communication and detailing skills required; salary range is provided.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
• Proficiency with takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Responsibilities

• Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.

• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside of our self-perform group.
• Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
• Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
• Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
• Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).
• Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration.

Salary range is $94,000 - $126,000

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
• Experience with working with union representatives is preferred. OSHA Certification.
• Local to Spokane, WA is preferred
