Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Spokane, WA is seeking a Senior Estimator to drive bid opportunities for our construction projects. You will perform quantitative takeoffs, establish labor productivities, solicit subcontractor pricing, and participate in internal bid reviews.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
• Proficient in estimating software including On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for its operations based in Spokane, WA #554. This individual will be responsible for soliciting bid opportunities to further grow our business and is responsible for the following duties:

• Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimate.
• Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group.
• Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
• Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
• Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
• Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).
• Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration.

This position is safety-sensitive

Location Packages are available for this role

Salary range is $90,000 - $110,000

Basic Requirements

• At least 2 years of estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
• Experience with working with union representatives is preferred. OSHA Certification.
• Local to Spokane, WA is preferred
