Ideal candidates have 15–20 years in construction, a construction management or engineering background, and proficiency with ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Mechanical field experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• 15-20 years of construction-related experience, design-build preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-build estimates directing engineers and estimators on scope inclusions and requirements.
• Direct subcontractors and internal team members in the completion of the estimate.
• Prepare complete scope estimates based on proposal documentation for diverse design-build projects.
• Review and interpret project documentation including drawings, specs, and terms.
• Develop conceptual estimating from preliminary parameters and manage pre-construction workflows.

Senior Estimator

A rapidly growing engineering and industrial construction firm in Senoia is seeking an energetic and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Estimator in plumbing, miscellaneous and structural steel, and general construction for its Senoia, Georgia office. Estimators will work closely with the design and estimating teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead design-build estimates directing engineers and estimators on scope inclusions and requirements.
• Directing subcontractors and internal team members in the completion of the estimate
• Prepare complete scope estimates based on proposal documentation on a variety of design build projects
• Review, interpret and analyze project documentation including drawings, specifications, data, commercial terms, proposals, etc.
• Develop conceptual estimating from preliminary project parameters
• Manage the development of the preliminary workflow, logistics plan, and schedule
• Prepare detailed estimates for all self-perform work activities including craft hours, labor, materials, and equipment
• Organize and filing of estimate information to standards.
• Formulate all project indirect cost including staffing, project schedules, on-site facilities, and support cost with schedule development.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (developers, architects, subcontractors and Forza operations) throughout the design build process, including attendance at design meetings as a Forza representative during pre-construction services
• Solicit input from field operations to include in final project estimate
• Prepare written proposals for review with Project Manager prior to submission
• Updating estimate status and notifying chief estimator of project status
• Completing the project review with the Project Manager at project kickoff and project closeout

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience directing estimators for large scale estimating projects
• Ability to make and influence decisions under tight deadlines and sometimes with incomplete information
• Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to forge partnerships with subcontractors
• Ability to recognize and analyze risk
• Skilled in reading and analyzing geotechnical reports, technical information, market, and trade trends
• Senior estimator should be proficient in the use of the following software:
• Microsoft 365 - with a high level of proficiency using Excel
• ProEst or similar estimating software
• Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar takeoff software
• Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
• Digital management of files

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Construction Management or Engineering
• Mechanical Field Experience if no degree
• 15-20 years of construction related experience, design build preferred.
