Job summary

Renewyx LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator in Northern California to price large heavy civil projects and lead client relations that drive new business. The role involves on-site work in the South Bay or Greater Sacramento area, with a focus on highways, bridges and infrastructure bids.

You will manage quantity takeoffs, bid submissions, and pricing for public works and private sector projects, leveraging experience with concrete packages and strong communication skills.

Job description

Renewyx have partnered with a heavy civil contractor working across public and private infrastructure to bring on a Senior Estimator.

Northern California’s heavy civil market is busy. State transportation funding through SB 1 and federal money from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act keep putting highway, bridge and structures work out to bid. Private projects add a steady flow of site and concrete packages alongside it.

The firm works across both public and private infrastructure. This hire will price the large concrete work that wins those jobs and build the client relationships that bring in the next ones.

The role is on-site, with a choice of two offices: one in the South Bay and one in the Greater Sacramento area.

The Senior Estimator will prepare and lead estimates for heavy civil projects from quantity takeoff through to bid submission, across public works and the private sector. It’s a senior, client-facing role with a business development side. You’ll build and maintain client relationships, find new opportunities and play a direct part in winning the work you price.

• 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience across public works and private projects
• A track record on substantial concrete work, such as highways, bridges or other infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and a record of building client relationships that bring in new business
• Able to work on-site in the South Bay or the Greater Sacramento area
• Working knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid or HeavyJob, used on the larger bids
• Experience and connections in the Sacramento market
• $150,000 to $200,000 base salary, with flexibility for the right candidate
