Job summary

Solutions Driven is seeking a Senior Estimator for a major wastewater infrastructure program in Reston, VA. You will partner with project leadership on estimating, change management, forecasting, and strategic planning for complex tunnel rehabilitation and underground utility construction.

This senior, long-term assignment requires 5+ years in estimating or related roles, a related bachelor's degree, and willingness to relocate to Reston. Periodic travel is expected; on-site five days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating, project engineering, project management, or construction operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, engineering technology, business, finance, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil, underground utility, tunneling, trenchless, rehabilitation, or wastewater infrastructure.
• Willingness to relocate to Reston, VA full-time.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for large-scale wastewater infrastructure projects.

Job description

Our client is recruiting a Senior Estimator dedicated to a major landmark wastewater infrastructure program running through 2033. You'll work directly with project leadership on estimating, change management, forecasting, and strategic planning for complex tunnel rehabilitation and underground utility construction. This is a senior-level, long-term assignment.

Location: On-site five days a week at Reston, VA office.

Mobility: Low by estimating standards. Periodic travel to project sites, pre-bid meetings, subcontractor facilities, and corporate offices expected, but not a dominant feature.

Commitment: Full-time, permanent hire. You will be assigned to another project once this one concludes.

About You

• 5+ years of estimating, project engineering, project management, or construction operations experience
• Bachelor's in construction management, civil engineering, engineering technology, business, finance, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of heavy civil, underground utility, tunneling, trenchless, rehabilitation, or wastewater infrastructure
• Comfortable relocating to Reston, VA full-time
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

• Direct trenchless estimating experience
• Rehabilitation, wastewater, tunneling, or underground utility background
• Change order development and negotiation experience
• Familiarity with trenchless construction technologies
• Public infrastructure project experience
• Estimating software and cost database proficiency
