Ganem Construction seeks a Senior Estimator in Phoenix to lead estimating and preconstruction from pursuit to pricing. You will partner with PX, design teams, and ownership to align budgets with project goals and market conditions.

Responsibilities include developing comprehensive estimates, managing budgets, and driving value engineering while engaging trade partners and suppliers for competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience, commercial preferred.
• Experience leading estimates on mid- to large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of design-build and/or negotiated work.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates.
• Develop and manage budgets, cost plans, and pricing narratives.
• Perform value engineering and cost optimization aligned with client goals.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and proposals for complete scope coverage.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of estimates.
• Lead trade partner outreach and bid leveling.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals for scope and risk.
• Maintain knowledge of local market conditions and trends.
• Establish best practices and workflows for the estimating team.
• Promote accountability and consistency across estimates.

Senior Estimator – Ganem Construction, Phoenix, AZ

As a Senior Estimator at Ganem Construction, you will lead the estimating and preconstruction efforts on projects from initial pursuit through final pricing. This role goes beyond quantity takeoffs and pricing; you will be responsible for strategy, leadership, and ownership of the estimating process, working closely with Project Executives (PX), design teams, and ownership. You will drive trade partner engagement and ensure that all estimates align with project goals, market conditions, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee comprehensive conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates.
• Develop and manage system budgets, cost plans, and pricing narratives.
• Perform value engineering and cost optimization strategies aligned with client goals.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to ensure complete scope coverage.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of all estimates.
• Lead trade partner outreach and bid leveling, ensuring strong coverage and competitive pricing.
• Build and maintain relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience (commercial construction preferred).
• Proven experience leading estimates on mid‑to‑large scale projects.
• Strong understanding of design‑build and/or negotiated work.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and AI.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to interpret and analyze drawings at all design phases.
