Job summary

Rawso Constructors is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction and a strong attention to detail.

Senior Civil Estimator

What You'll Be Doing

• Estimate and proposal creation
• Proposal tracking and customer follow-up
• Project and job cost setups (project handoff - precon to construction)
• Contract negotiations and redlining
• Establish project schedule baselines
• Onboarding projects, folder and file setups
• Subcontractor and vendor solicitation
• Linear takeoffs
• Earthwork volume takeoffs
• Sales & business development for potential new projects
• Professional communication with general contractors, owners and municipality representatives
• Cooperate and communicate with others in a team environment.

What You Offer

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience (heavy civil) in a construction environment a must.
• Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field.
• Experience in heavy civil construction related projects
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, Agtek, Project/P6, Spectrum
• Open to learn other software applications
• Easily learn other software applications.
• Ability to read plans.
• A team player who works well with others or independently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
• Organized with the ability to multi-task.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Positive attitude.
