Job summary

Metric DCX in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Electrical Construction Estimator to own the estimating process for commercial electrical projects. You will interpret drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and build cost estimates reflecting materials, labour, and installation requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction estimating.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, electrical specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience conducting detailed electrical quantity take-offs and developing project cost estimates.
• Understanding of electrical construction materials, labour requirements and installation methodologies.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Systems Management or related discipline.
• Experience using Accubid and/or Bluebeam.
• Previous experience within an electrical contracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop competitive project estimates, accounting for material, labour and installation requirements.

• Apply labour factors for overtime, shift work, site congestion, and schedules.

• Maintain estimate revision logs and supporting documentation.

Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Construction Estimator to join its estimating team in Columbus, Ohio. This is an opportunity to take ownership of estimating activities across commercial electrical construction projects, developing accurate and competitive bids while working closely with project management, operations, vendors, general contractors and customers.

The successful candidate will play an important role in evaluating project requirements, interpreting construction drawings and specifications, developing detailed quantity take-offs and ensuring estimates accurately reflect project scope, labour requirements and costs.
